หลังจากมีการร้องเรียนเรื่องการทิ้งขยะส่งกลิ่นเน่าเหม็น สร้างความเดือดร้อนให้ผู้อยู่อาศัยใกล้เคียงและผู้ที่สัญจรผ่านรวมทั้งยังส่งผลต่อภาพลักษณ์โดยรวมของเมืองพัทยา ทางเมืองพัทยาจึงออกมาตราการเด็ดขาดจับ ปรับ 2,000 บาท ทันที สำหรับผู้ที่ลักลอบทั้งขยะในที่สาธารณะ ทั้งนี้เพื่อสุขอนามัยของประชาชน และพัฒนาเมืองพัทยาให้เป็นเมืองสีเขียว เป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวที่ยั่งยืน
