Following a series of complaints about the collective issue of public littering and odor pollution that cause public nuisance to both nearby local residents and commuters, as well as tarnishing the otherwise overall positive image of the world-renowned resort city, the City of Pattaya has taken stringent measures by which immediate onsite fines for Baht 2,000 and arrestment will be carried out on those violating the public-littering control law. The City’s concentrated effort has been made in order to provide for more of public sanitation and in light of the re-development of Pattaya City into a picturesque Green City and maintaining its tourist attraction status upon a sustainable basis.
